Dear St. Aidan’s,
As we navigate the storms of life, we either take for granted the gifts of God or we are more acutely aware of all the good gifts God provides for us.
Our Stewardship theme for 2024 is Show Thanks to the Lord for all his Gifts around us.
As individuals and families, the receiving of those Gifts allows us to continue to grow as a community of faith at St. Aidan’s.
As we move into a more normal church life after our experience of the last few years, what does a sampling of those gifts look like St. Aidan’s?
More children and families experiencing the living Christ and becoming deeply rooted in their journey of faith
A music program that continues to leave one in awe of the beauty and message of their performance
More people each Sunday discovering the love and energy of the St. Aidan’s family through Holy Eucharist
Youth serving as acolytes who are and will be the future leaders of our parish
The privilege of being able to use our time and treasures in outreach to love for and care for those outside our walls
Discovering our gifts and talents as well as learning of Holy Scripture through all our various Faith Formation offerings
A loving and concerned group of saints offering daily prayer to give us comfort and peace during tough times
Many opportunities to just have fun, fellowship, good food, and meals as we gather for social events as a parish
A growing and committed church staff who provide leadership and empowerment to all laity
I would also encourage you to list the gifts in your individual lives, I assure you it will be awe inspiring.
What type of church will you and I sustain for the next 365 days?
Let us all journey forward together in faith during 2024 as we Show Thanks to the Lord for all his Gifts around us by returning to God a portion of those wonderful gifts.
Your pledge of commitment is vital to the growth and spirit of St. Aidan’s.
In the love of Christ,
Father Reginald Simmons
