<image:title>Clergy, Staff & Vestry - Andrea Uchegbu</image:title>
<image:caption>Vestry Member (2029) Andrea’s journey with the Episcopal Church began in 2010 when she and her husband, Chikere—who was raised in the Anglican denomination in Nigeria—joined St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Dedham, MA. Having grown up in the Baptist church in Virginia, Andrea quickly came to cherish the liturgical depth, communal spirit, and sacramental traditions of the Episcopal faith. Throughout several moves across the country, Andrea has remained a devoted member of the Episcopal community. At St. Aidan’s, her family serves in various capacities: Andrea, and her children, Jonathan and Naya, serve as Lectors, proclaiming the Word of God during services. In addition, Jonathan serves as an Acolyte. Both children have participated in the Choristers, and the family is active in the Families Ministry. Guided by the values of faith, responsibility, and family, Andrea views the Vestry as an opportunity for deeper stewardship. She is inspired by the words of C.T. Studd: “Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” Andrea brings over 20 years of leadership experience across Sales, HR, and Training for global organizations such as 3M, Procter & Gamble, and Truist. Currently, she leads a team of eight Sales Skills Trainers at Salesforce. Her expertise is backed by an MBA from the University of Florida and a BS from North Carolina A & T State University. She also has professional certifications from Harvard's Business School in the HR Development Program, and a Salesforce Associate AI Certification and a certificate in High Impact Teaming In addition to her professional work, Andrea serves on the Robert Fowler YMCA Community Board and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. </image:caption>

They are cradle Episcopalians and have been married for 26 years. They have three grown daughters. They met while living in Tuscaloosa and attended St. Mathias Church where Kathy served on the vestry for two years. She was assigned to support all Pastoral Care needs and, in doing so, she discovered her enthusiasm and love for pastoral care. Jeff’s job transferred them to Houston where they attended Ascension Church. Kathy decided to take the training for Community of Hope which is a lay chaplain training program founded by Helen Appelberg and St. Luke’s Hospital. When she moved to Alpharetta, she worked with another parishioner to train the first group of Community of Hope lay ministers at St. Aidan’s followed by trainings at other Episcopal churches. She is responsible for the Eucharistic Ministers and setting up the monthly schedule. She also coordinates a dinner group called Serendipity Suppers which promotes fellowship at St. Aidan’s. <image:title>Children - Children’s Chapel</image:title>
<image:caption>Children’s Chapel provides a simplified version of the Sunday service for children ages 3-10 (must be potty trained). We have a wonderful volunteer team of seven leaders who rotate Sundays, helping each other to provide the best experience for our children in learning about God’s love. Units have included a study of the Ten Commandments and the Advent Wreath. It is our hope that offering a continuity of lessons will increase interest and attendance. The lead for this ministry is now Pam Steman. Coloring materials are now being supplied in the cart in the back of the church for children to use during services.</image:caption>

<image:title>Children - Choristers</image:title>
<image:caption>The Choristers of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church offers musical excellence, self-discipline, and social development to all children from 2nd to 6th grade. The goal of the chorister program is to uplift the spiritual life of our communities through high quality choral music for children. The Choristers meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45AM-10:30 AM in the Parish Hall. Every rehearsal will begin with a vocal warm-up, followed by learning and practicing upcoming songs. After a brief recess, choristers will then receive music theory instruction, a graduated curriculum where they will learn music fundamentals and how to read music at sight. Sunday Services: Choristers will sing quarterly Sunday a.m. services with occasional special events on selected Sunday afternoons. This is a vital part of the experience, giving the singers a deep satisfaction and rewarding experience. For more information, please contact Glenda Gray, Director of Choristers, at heyauntgg@aol.com or Charles Higgs, Director of Music Ministries, at music@staidans.org.</image:caption>
