Disaster Relief for Haiti - The Challenge to Help

Thanks to everyone for their generous contributions to earthquake relief in Haiti.  We raised $2225 for Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) last Sunday, with several families embracing the Challenge to Help by donating $100 or more.  Aid is now flowing into Haiti, but the recovery and rebuilding process will be long and difficult.  If you have not yet donated, or would like to make an additional contribution, you can donate to ERD online at https://www.er-d.org/donate-select.php or pick up an ERD envelope in the narthex.  You can also donate through St. Aidan's with a check marked "Haiti" placed in the collection plate.  Other agencies that are helping are the Red Cross http://www.redcross.org or Doctors Without Borders http://doctorswithoutborders.org/.

FOYER Groups Return with a TWIST in 2010!

To make scheduling Foyer get-togethers easier, there will be one sign-up period in 2010 - Jan. 24 to Feb. 7 - with the Foyer’s 2010 cycle from March through October.  All adults are welcome to join Foyers - visitors, new members and longtime parishioners.  Foyer groups are small gatherings of about eight people (couples and singles) who meet informally for a pot luck meal and fellowship (usually at each other’s homes).  The hosts normally provide the entree with the other parts of the meal brought by the members. Once each household has hosted over the eight month period, the cycle will be complete. The sign-up sheet is in the Narthex or you can sign-up on St. Aidan’s website through Feb. 7.  Groups will be formed and notified in mid-February by Clark Miller, Chair.
